MLM business models are traditional, mostly. There are some MLM business opportunities such as SFI, which are completely based on the Internet. Even Amway, to an extent, has extended its operations online.
While we can safely assume that most of the MLM business opportunities you will consider are mainly offline, there’s nothing stopping you from thinking of news ways to recruit prospects.
If you read one of the recent posts I wrote on how lack of prospects can possibly end your MLM business, you’d realize that it’s the most important part of running your business. Here are a few, modern ways to recruit your prospects or to run your MLM business:
Market your opportunity online
Whether the business you associate with has an online presence or not, consider Internet as an important channel to develop your business. Use your website, your blog, a mailing list, your RSS feeds, your social media networks, and even traditional job recruiting boards to find your potential prospects.
If you are considering retailing products that are actually manufactured by your MLM business (Amway, Tupper, and Oriflame for instance), consider selling them online using eBay and/or your own e-commerce site.
Start online training classes
If you look at Udemyc.com or WizIQ, you will see that lots of experts take classes on a lot of topics starting from academics to gardening, from repairing PCs to making money online. You might want to consider sharing timely tips, information, and MLM best practices using online training sessions. WizIQ even allows you to record your sessions in full so that you can just let potential prospects sign up for your class and take the class at their own convenience.
Start a local club or meet up
Meetup.com allows you to start a club of your choice, in your town/city. Take the initiative and start a meet up to discuss opportunities. There are plenty of people who’d do with an extra income coming in each month. Remember that the key is to spray the theories at your club members and allow making their choices. Don’t force them to join you. Just let them know that you formed a group to discuss business opportunities and that they are free to make their decisions.
Of course, there are lots of other ways you can bring in potential prospects. Feel free to add your own ideas to this list. I’d love to hear from you.
